Sara, a native Texan, came to explore the natural beauty of Colorado while pursuing her career as a designer at CCY. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Texas Tech University and a Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis, where she studied how a harmony between the built and natural environment can influence one’s mood and personal well-being.

Through this analytical lens, Sara explores the importance of using holistic and sustainable strategies to not only reflect nature’s beauty but strengthen our connection to it. She believes that this connection, along with our environments, shapes daily habits and behaviors, impacting both mental and physical health. This perspective has reinforced her belief that architecture should not only meet aesthetic and functional needs but also explore strategies that nurture the people within it.

Drawing inspiration from nature, Sara often incorporates environmental beauty into both her architectural designs and artistic endeavors. She enjoys expressing her creativity through photography, painting, and interior design. In her free time, she stays active by hiking, biking, and playing tennis and pickleball.
