Evan Barrett, AIA
Associate
Evan’s integrated approach to design is rooted in his background in construction and his passion for finding creative solutions. His experience spans custom residential, hospitality, resort - club amenity, and private community projects, with a particular understanding of architecture in alpine environments where snow, wind, sun exposure, durability, and performance are essential considerations.
As an Associate at CCY Architects, Evan is known for pairing strong design instincts with a disciplined attention to detail and project delivery. Equally comfortable collaborating with clients, consultants, and project teams, he is valued for his approachable nature, clear communication, and ability to build consensus while guiding complex projects forward. His experience with digital fabrication processes further strengthens his ability to bridge design ideas and the realities of construction.
His work is grounded in the belief that successful architecture must be both inspiring and enduring, responsive to its site, thoughtful in its execution, and carefully aligned with the aspirations of each client. Across complex residential and resort environments, Evan helps guide projects from concept through completion with a commitment to design excellence, craftsmanship, and service.
Evan’s perspective is shaped not only by architecture and construction, but also by a lifelong connection to the outdoors and a curiosity about other cultures. A competitive ski racer in his formative years, he has lived in Seoul and Barcelona and traveled extensively, experiences that continue to inform his appreciation for place, culture, and the natural world. Today, he enjoys sharing that connection to the mountains with his children, including teaching them to ski.
Evan holds a Bachelor of Arts from Williams College and a Master of Architecture from the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis.
