Alexis Campion
Designer
Alexis began her architectural education in the American Southwest, grounding her design philosophy in place-based principles that address ecological restoration and today's environmental challenges.
Alexis graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Architecture. Her academic journey was enriched by an Independent Research Study focusing on a multidisciplinary approach to architecture. Alexis's study centered on the Puyallup River in Washington State, exploring the ecological, cultural, and spiritual impacts of colonization and resource extraction on the river and surrounding lands. Her proposal envisioned a symbiotic relationship between humanity and nature, drawing on indigenous wisdom and Lo-TEK solutions to restore the endangered salmon, river ecosystem, and the spirit of its people.
As a designer, Alexis aims to cultivate a seamless connection between the built environment and the natural world. She believes each project is guided by the unique context of the site, its historical narrative, natural rhythms, and indigenous materials.
Outside of her professional work, Alexis finds solace in nature, enjoys reading under the shade of trees, cooking for loved ones, and embarking on adventures to new places.
