Forbes Top 200

CCY Architects has been honored with inclusion in Forbes’ inaugural list of the Top 200 U.S. Residential Architects. This recognition highlights firms selected through a rigorous process, described by Forbes as “a research-intensive and exhaustively proactive path” to identify the American residential architecture firms whose work exemplifies the highest standards of residential design.

The exclusive list features 200 firms nationwide, with 56 firms representing the American West, including CCY Architects.

“CCY Architects never opts for the obvious solution.…..Stone, steel and concrete have rarely looked as seductive as they do in the hands of CCY”

— Forbes Editor, Richard Olsen

Environmental stewardship and wellness are central to CCY’s practice. The firm has implemented a Sustainable Action Plan and participates in the AIA 2030 Challenge. CCY’s design solutions, driven by site conditions, allow them to optimize a building’s design for its environmental conditions - implementing solutions that rely on both passive and active strategies to minimize a project’s impact on the environment.

We are honored to be recognized by Forbes Magazine, said CCY Partner Alex Klumb, AIA, This acknowledgment is a tremendous reflection of our collaborative process, great teams, and projects. As architects rooted in Colorado's rich cultural and natural heritage, we take great pride in representing Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley on the national and international stage. This recognition celebrates not only our creative work but also our longstanding commitment to enhancing our community. It is a privilege to bring global attention to the beauty of the American West, and we are grateful for the opportunity to continue shaping places that reflect our values.

Among its merits, CCY Architects has garnered over 200 national and international design awards. Notably, CCY’s recently completed MOLLIE Aspen, was recognized by Hospitality Design Magazine in four categories including Best in Show and Best Upscale Hotel. In 2023 AIA Colorado named CCY Partner, Rich Carr – Architect of the Year and in 2024 named CCY Partner Maura Trumble - Young Architect of the Year. These experiences have reinforced CCY’s working philosophy that while vision, talent and design leadership are key factors, truly successful projects result from an open, collaborative process.
