Director of Finance

CCY Architects is a full-service integrated design studio of 45 creative, collaborative people, located in Basalt, Colorado. We are looking for a Director of Finance who will support our organization’s accounting, budgeting/forecasting, and financial reporting needs. The position provides a unique opportunity to pursue finance and accounting work in a creative office environment, working with teams both internal and external to the firm.

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as demonstrated experience in accounting and finance – direct experience in AEC firms and fluency with architecture and design accounting methods is highly desirable. They will be well-rounded, have strong communication and leadership skills, and an ability to work with many personality types.

This is an in-person, in-office position, with some flexibility for hybrid work. Candidates will be expected to reside locally and be in the office 4 or 5 days per week.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the company’s long-term financial health and growth.
• Oversee accounting and streamline operations.
• Analyze and report on financial performance.
• Oversee audit and tax functions.
• Forecasting, budgeting and cash flow management.
• Oversee administrative staff, including Studio Manager, Accounting Support and Human Resource Manager
• Manage firm’s insurance policies 
• Manage retirement investment plan with third party administrator

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.

• 7-10 years minimum of relevant experience in financial management or accounting, with strong preference towards experience in AEC industry

• 2-3 years in a supervisory/management role.

• Strong communication and analytical skills, demonstrated experience working with employees, consultants, and clients

• Payroll experience

• Computer proficiency, with fluency in Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Experience in Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint preferred.

• Maintain Firm, Client and Employee confidentiality.

• Exhibits a high degree of diplomacy in dealing with others.

Salary Range:

$120k - $160k
